Remortgaging means moving your mortgage to a new lender. Switching your mortgage deal means choosing a new mortgage deal with your existing lender.

In some circumstances, yes. However, your current lender may charge an early repayment charge if you leave your mortgage deal before it ends. Please talk to your current mortgage provider before you go ahead with a remortgage.
